Following 13 years at Norsk Data, Elaine has been with SOS since 1996 and fully appreciates the business and IT needs of law firms and works closely with firms to help improve how they operate.

Business Development Manager (Ref: BDM01)
Job Location: Bath
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Sales Team to present, demonstrate and sale specialist software to prospective SOS clients in order to achieve an annual quota of targeted gross profit, and so as to increase SOS’s share in the legal software marketplace.
The candidate is expected to demonstrate a consultative approach to the sales process and at all times maintain a professional relationship with all prospective clients.
The main duties of this role will involve:
- Sales prospecting for possible clients of SOS software.
- Demonstrating/presenting/selling to board level, SOS Software to prospective clients
- Setting up and attending exhibitions
- Responding accurately to ITT’s
- Producing accurate proposals and quotations
- Answering telephone and written sales enquiries and following up
- Completion of relevant contract and maintenance documentation
- Sales project management for successful implementation
- Overall customer care and management
- Future development of accounts to obtain further business
- Networking and attending solicitors business functions
Responsibilities will involve reporting directly to the Commercial Director & being able to forecast and meet the set sales target and maintain a constant growth of the SOS user
General Circumstances
The position of Business Development Manager is based in Bath or home based following probation, however a considerable amount of time will be spent visiting prospective client’s sites in England, Wales, Scotland and occasionally Northern Ireland
Normal office hours are 9.00am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday however the nature of this role means that there will be many occasions when you will be expected to work outside of these normal hours and usual flexibility of a sales role is required.
Virtual Practices Legal Cashier (Ref: VPLC01)
Job Location: Bath Office
Due to the expansion of our Virtual Practices department, we have a vacancy for a legal cashier to join the team.
The main duties of this role will be to provide a consistent, efficient and polite legal accounts service for customers of Virtual Practices using our SOS Practice Management system. You will also be involved in a number of other duties including checking and posting electronic slips, inputting supplier invoices, completing and interpreting Office/Client/Deposit bank reconciliations and assisting with month end.
A demonstrable knowledge of Solicitors Accounts rules, experience working in a front line legal accounts environment (minimum of 2 years) and being fully conversant with double-entry book keeping will be considered essential as will excellent communication skills and a real desire to deliver excellent customer service to our clients.

SOS Legal Workflow Consultants (Ref: LWC01)

Due to increased demand for our SOS Connect case management product, opportunities exist to join our Customer Services Team as a Legal Workflow Consultant. The role involves both tailoring the software for our clients by way of a software ‘toolkit’ and also delivering standard and tailored training courses for our software to our clients’ staff.
The role will suit an experienced case management developer or a technically minded individual already working within a law firm department or its IT team.
Regular visits to client sites delivering consultancy and scripting support throughout the UK will be involved and so candidates must be able and prepared to travel regularly as befits this type of IT role.

SOS Application Support Analyst (Ref: ASA01)
Job Location: Bath Office
Due to expansion of our support department, we have a vacancy for an Application Support Analyst to join the team. The SOS Support team operates as a remote helpdesk to all our clients using SOS software.
The role will involve handling and resolving queries that arrive via telephone and email, dealing mainly with cashiers, other legal accounting staff and system administrators. You will also be involved in ensuring clients are kept up to date with the progress of their call and maintaining a full contact history in our call-management software.

Data Conversion Coordinator (Ref: DCC01)

An outstanding opportunity for a confident individual with a strong analytical mind to join our successful, ambitious and progressive legal software firm at an exciting time of growth & development.
Customer facing and working closely with senior management, you will play a key role in the conversion of case and accounts data of new clients adopting our legal IT solutions. As a Data Conversion Coordinator, you will be responsible for the implementation of data conversions from the initial mapping of data right the way through to the end result of a fully balanced conversion ready for client installation. You will be working as a member of a team of two other Data Conversion Coordinators
The ideal candidate will fully understand the principals of accounting and have experience of using accounting software. Good IT skills with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Access™ and a broad understanding of database structure is essential. They will possess a logical and analytical thought process, be quick to learn and have a confident and friendly personality. Some legal or legal cashiering experience would be an advantage but not essential. Full training for this position will be provided.
Occasional evening and weekend work to make sure conversions are delivered on time and some conversions are required out of working hours.
