Niche employment law firm Ferguson Solicitors sees the benefit of time recording with SOS Connect - Oct 08
City of London and specialist employment law firm Ferguson Solicitors, is benefiting from improved accuracy and efficiency since implementing the automated time recording feature in SOS Connect from Bath headquartered Solicitors Own Software (SOS).
Established in 1997 as a commercial dispute litigator, Ferguson has built a reputation amongst City traders, representing many in bonus entitlement and compensation claims especially following Clark -v- Nomura International Plc 2000 IRLR 766. The practice, headed by partner Charles Ferguson and six fee earners also handles unfair dismissal and discrimination claims as well as non-contentious company, commercial and regulatory work.
The firm first selected SOS for practice management soon after it was formed and has found the software to be very robust and extremely reliable. The addition of time recording and integration to billing a few months ago, has greatly improved efficiency. Ferguson Accountant Jonnie Jones said: “Live time recording is improving the business performance of fee earners and enabling a reduction in leakages or unrecorded but billable time, without increasing the administrative burden. We have reduced bookkeeping time by around two hours per day and eradicated duplicated effort since the roll-out of the software.”
Ferguson is currently assessing SOS Connect’s work-flow based case management features and how integration with practice management can support the growing needs of the practice
SOS managing director David McNamara commented: “We are delighted that Ferguson’s has stayed loyal to SOS over the last 10 years and that they are able to extend their use of SOS Connect in line with their growing business requirements. Our aim is always to deliver great customer service and create strong customer loyalty.”
