Solnick replaces three systems with SOS Connect
Sept 08 — London-based commercial practice Solnick LLP is replacing three systems and standardising on SOS Connect from Solicitors Own Software to improve integration, time recording and overall practice management efficiency in a contract worth approximately £40,000.
Founded in 1984, Solnick is a boutique employment and commercial practice also offering residential property services to a wide-ranging client base extending from family businesses through to public limited companies. Previously the firm used separate software packages for accounts and database; database and time recording, and document management.
Helen Haslam, Office Manager at Solnick LLP, said: “We looked at supplier lists from both the Law Society and the ILCA, and visited the Legal IT exhibition. Three packages were chosen for more detailed examination. After comparing the three applications, we selected SOS Connect for its Outlook integration, flexibility and ease of use. It ticked all our requirements with its intuitive time recording system, its ability to work as a true remote function with virtual files and the added bonus of a disaster recovery module. We anticipate major improvements in integration and speed of use.
“Solnick also plans to take advantage of the features in SOS Connect to automate processes and tailor them to our exact needs.”
Implementation of the software to Solnick’s seven Solicitors (including one partner and one consultant) and eight support staff is under way.
